The 2020 Clos-de-la-Roche Grand Cru is more reduced on the nose, slightly darker fruit than the Clos Saint-Denis; hints of kirsch and orange rind emerge with time. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, a "stout" Grand Cru, solid with blackberry laced with graphite towards the finish. I can see this closing down for a few years so have a cellar handy.
